A Christmas Pastiche

Do you see what I see?

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,

Peace on earth, and midnight clear,

With a blazing Yule before us.

So bring us a figgy pudding and a cup of good cheer.

In the air there’s a feeling of Christmas.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

It’s a bright time, it’s the right time…all through the night.

Do you hear what I hear?

The snow is glistening,

While we raise our hearts in love.

Pa rum rum rum pum. Are you listening?

Just as sure as the stars shine above.

And faithful friends gather near to us,

With a voice as big as the sea.

We strike the harp and join the chorus,

And shout it out with glee, yippee.

On every street corner you’ll hear,

Silver Bells, Silver bells…all through the night.

Do you know what I know?

For auld land syne, my dears…

For silent nights, for silver bells, for first noëls,

For the hopes and fears of all the new years,

For heavenly peace and fond farewell’s.

Deck the halls in love’s pure light…all through the night.

And so this is Christmas.

Another year over,

I hope you had fun.
